Part 107 Limits: what the Part 107 test expects

Without a waiver, Part 107 limits a small UA (under 55 lb at takeoff, including payload) to 87 knots (100 mph) groundspeed and 400 ft AGL, except within 400 ft of a structure. You need at least 3 SM visibility from the control station, and you must stay 500 ft below and 2,000 ft horizontally from clouds. Night operations require anti-collision lighting visible for 3 SM.

Under §107.9 (Safety event reporting), operations involving serious injury, loss of consciousness, or more than $500 of damage to property other than the UA must be reported to the FAA no later than 10 calendar days afterward.
